Whitney Houston

R.I.P. Whitney Houston

And the bad news just keeps on rolling in, singer/actress Whitney Houston has died at age 48. Not only tragic, but ironic as the news comes a day before the Grammy Awards, a show which Houston dominated for years. It’s impossible to imagine modern R&B/Soul/Pop music today without Houston’s influence, as she will arguably go down in history as the greatest vocalists of all time.

Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album “Whitney” was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts and she has sold 200 million albums worldwide.

Circumstances of her death are unknown for the time being, so it’s best that we all mourn the loss of our great Whitney, and celebrate her life with the dignity, honor and respect that she rightly deserves.

Be at peace sweet Whitney.
